1. Which personal data does Arcadis Gen use and for which purposes?

You can use the majority of our website without having to provide any personal data to us. When you visit our website or use our app, we collect certain information:

• Information when you contact us; we use your personal data to respond to your inquiry and to fulfill your request when you contact us via our online contact form or via another communication channel. We use your name, title, email address and/or phone number and any other information that you may provide to us in the open field entry of the contact form or otherwise.

• Newsletters; if you subscribe for a newsletter, we will need your email address to be able to send the information to you.w e retain your email address until you unsubscribe for all mailing lists, unless we need it for any of the other purposes mentioned in this Privacy Statement. With your consent, we may use your contact information to send you surveys on our products or services, marketing communication, or to keep you updated on events, special offers of our products and services that may be of interest to you.

• Maintenance and optimization of our website; when you visit our website, some information about your use of our website is automatically generated on our server, such as which web pages you visit, your IP address (a unique number that is automatically assigned to your computer by your internet service provider when you go online), the name of your computer's operating system and the type of web browser you are using and other technical information. 3. For what period does Arcadis Gen retain your personal data?

In general, Arcadis Gen will retain your personal data for as long as needed for the purposes for which it has been collected. This means that our customer service will retain the personal data relating to any request or inquiry submitted by you for the duration of the communication with you, but with a maximum period of 24 months after having responded to your request or inquiry. Your email address and the information about your opt-in to our newsletter will be retained for the duration that Arcadis Gen sends you commercial messages you are interested in until you opt-out of receiving this newsletter. The information about your visit to and use of our website and app, including click and search behavior, will be stored for a maximum of 24 months after your visit to the website.

4. Links to other websites and social media

On the website, you will find a number of links to other websites. Although these websites are selected with care, we are not responsible for the processing of your personal data through these websites. Arcadis Gen's Terms and Conditions (top of this page) and Privacy Statement are therefore not applicable to the use of such websites. If you choose to share our website or apps through social media such as LinkedIn, Facebook, and/or Twitter, your personal data (such as your name and the fact that you are interested in Arcadis Gen) will also be visible to all the visitors of your personal webpage on LinkedIn, Facebook, and/or Twitter. On the use of such social media websites, only the terms and conditions (including the privacy policy) of the social media website apply. Arcadis Gen is not responsible for the processing of personal data or the privacy policy of such social media websites. Arcadis  Gen's Terms of Use, Privacy Statement, and Cookie Statement are therefore not applicable to the use of such websites.

5. Third Parties

From time to time, Arcadis Gen may need to make personal data available to unaffiliated third parties, such as service providers (companies that provide products and services to Arcadis Gen such as hosting our website, monitoring, and analyzing web traffic, advertising, [remarketing and behavioral targeting], payment providers, IT systems suppliers), professional advisors (such as accountants, auditors, or lawyers), public and governmental authorities (entities that regulate or have jurisdiction over Arcadis Gen such as regulatory authorities, law enforcement, public bodies, and judicial bodies), or in the context of corporate transactions (in connection with any proposed or actual reorganization, merger, or sale). Arcadis Gen will put in place agreements with third party service providers and professional advisors to protect your data protection interests.

Due to the global nature of Arcadis Gen's operations, Arcadis Gen needs to disclose personal data to its own personnel and departments in other countries. Some of the unaffiliated third parties may also be located outside of your home jurisdiction. If you are based in the EU, you also have the right to data portability, meaning that a copy of your personal data provided by you to Arcadis Gen will, at your request, be transferred to you in a common machine readable format, or transmitted to a third party without hindrance.
