Our intelligent app only requires 4 properties to get started and calculate likelihood of failure – asset ID, installation date, failure history, and length. Here’s how it works in 4 simple steps:


Step 1. Upload data:

The first thing is to upload your data into WAIPP so the app can review the data and prepare it for analysis.

  • Log in to the AppliedInsight platform and click on the WAIPP application.
  • Create a new project and assign it a name and project details.
  • Drag your data into your project.

Step 2. Data Ingestion

In this step, the app analyzes your asset data while removing any duplications and errors to achieve greater accuracy.

  • Take a break while WAIPP calculates the results - usual wait time is around 20 minutes
  • Prepare for optimizing your maintenance and replacement plans

Step 3. Model Fitting

Here, we use machine learning, artificial intelligence, and your historical data to build a custom model that will predict the likelihood of failure for your pipe assets over the next 25 years.

Step 4. Visualize results

Finally, WAIPP will create a personalized table comparing predicted to actual failures. You can sort through the results by feature, date, or other asset properties.

  • Analyze and interrogate your data by exploring the charts, tables, and map provided
  • Download the data into an Excel or PDF format
  • Use the data gathered to set up an effective course of action
  • Use the results in the WAIPP Optimizer to optimize and prioritize your maintenance and replacement plans

For more detailed insights, there’s also the option to interrogate your data results by reviewing the failure comparison and feature importance tables. Again, once you’ve examined these, you’ll then be able to download your results and easily convert them into an Excel or PDF format.
